Many thanks to everyone who came along and helped out at CURiO Gallery Presents: The Oxfam Art Fair. Over £1500 was raised and will go to the amazing projects that Oxfam works on around the world to help people living in poverty.

The CURiO Team has just finished installing Rock and Mineral, a geologically-inspired installation at Out of the Blue Drill Hall, Dalmeny Street, Leith. The installation features the work of artists Collette Paterson, Christine McSorley and Larisa Guzova, and includes the natural and the manmade. The installation will be open Wednesday – Friday 10am – 5pm (early closing on Friday is probable). There will be an evening reception on Thursday 6-9pm. Please come along!

CONTEXTUS
A re-weaving of fabric‘s context in Art.
Featuring the work of 14 artists and their utilisation of fabric as a medium.

As a Post 1950s innovation, non-natural fabrics and mixed fibers have enabled the medium of woven material to become one of high art. ”Contextus”, meaning connected or woven together and also circumstances in which an event occurs seeks to bring to light through exhibition, the unusual, inventive and curious ways of using fabrics in new contexts.

We are proud to announce our next exhibition “Contextus”!
